How to delete your Ithren account

This page explains how to delete your Ithren account and what happens to your data. Ithren is provided by GRYFFINDOR PTE. LTD..

1. Delete your account in the app

1. Open Ithren and sign in.
2. Go to Me › Settings › Delete account.
3. Read the notice and confirm.

Your account then enters a 30-day cooling-off period. During this period your public characters are hidden and you are signed out on all devices. If you sign in again within the 30 days, you can cancel the deletion and everything is restored.

When the 30 days end, the deletion is carried out automatically and cannot be undone.

Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically. Deleting your account does not stop an App Store or Google Play subscription from renewing. Please cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings first.

2. If you cannot use the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@ithren.app with the subject "Account deletion request" and include:

• the sign-in method you used (Sign in with Apple or Google);
• the email address of that Apple or Google account (for Sign in with Apple, this may be a private relay address ending in privaterelay.appleid.com);
• your nickname in Ithren, if you remember it.

Please send the email from the email address linked to your account where possible. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address before we act on it, so that nobody else can delete your account. We will reply within 7 days. Once confirmed, your account enters the same 30-day cooling-off period described above, and you can still cancel by signing in during that time.

3. What we delete

When the cooling-off period ends, we delete or anonymize:

• your profile: nickname (replaced with a placeholder), avatar image and other uploaded images;
• your sign-in identifiers from Apple and Google, including the email address, and all sign-in sessions;
• the content of your conversations, including AI replies and conversation memory summaries;
• the characters you created, including their name, avatar, description and all other settings; however, published characters that other users have already chatted with are kept available to those users by "Ithren Official" under Section 8 of the Terms of Service, with author information that identifies you removed, and no further Coins are credited to you for them;
• your feedback messages, notifications, notification delivery records, notification settings, push notification tokens, block list and warnings;
• your time zone and invite code;
• your bio, the creators you follow and your followers;
• your name on reports you submitted (the reports themselves are kept without being linked to you).

Any remaining credit balance, including purchased credits, is forfeited when the deletion completes. Please redeem available Coins before deleting: unredeemed available Coins are void when the account is deleted, and pending Coins are void when they would have settled. Deleting your own account is not a violation and is not penalized.

4. What we keep

We keep a limited amount of information after deletion, only for the purposes below:

• Purchase, transaction and credit ledger records, in anonymized form (no longer linked to your identity), for reconciliation with the App Store and Google Play and for tax and accounting purposes, typically for up to 7 years;
• An irreversible hash of your sign-in identifier (a keyed SHA-256 hash), which cannot be turned back into the identifier. It is used only to tell whether that sign-in account has already received the sign-up gift, the new-member offer or a one-time reward, or has already been counted as an invited friend;
• Anti-abuse markers: hashes of IP addresses and of the app-generated device identifier, and records of reward claims, invites and refund risk, linked only to the anonymized account number and used only to prevent duplicate reward claims, invite abuse and refund abuse; the IP address and device identifier hashes are deleted automatically 180 days after they were last recorded;
• Safety records (reports about your account, moderation results and enforcement actions) for up to 2 years, or longer where needed to prevent repeat abuse or to comply with law;
• Server logs for up to 90 days, and backups, in which deleted data may remain for up to 30 days before being overwritten.
